Warriors has a few players able to umpire matches and we try to be active in the sport in order to develop our umpiring capacity. Knowing and understanding the rules of hockey will improve your game and experience you have playing it. The main thing to know about Field Hockey in any format is that it is a Non-Contact sport. There are a few different formats depending on the country.
The FIH Rulebook is available to anyone interested in knowing more about the rules, especially from a player and referee perspective. All players should know the rules in order to avoid confrontations with the referees. Knowledge is power!
