Season Fees
Members of the team (hereafter referred to as players) are required to pay season fees which grant them the right to attend training and makes them eligible to play in matches. Season fees can only be paid through the Suomisport service and are defined as follows:
- Senior – Full Season: €180
- Student / Low-Income – Full Season: €120
- U14 – Full Season: €60
Players who train exclusively at Ressu are exempt from fees for that season.
A Senior is defined as any member that is 18 or over, unless they are a Student / Low-Income.
A Student is defined as any member that is 14-17, or enrolled in higher education or training.
Low-Income status is granted on a case-by-case basis by the appropriate Team Manager in consultation with the Club Committee Co-Chairs and has no fixed income threshold in order to allow flexibility.
One Full Season consists of an outdoor or an indoor season, such that the fees for a full year would be two full season fees.
Season fees are charged for the entire season. The monthly payment plan is offered to players in good standing but the full amount is due regardless of attendance.
Players who join the team part-way through the season may have a proportional number of full months deducted from their total season fee. This is similarly applied to players who quit part-way through the season.
Paying fees does not guarantee match-time. Team Managers finalise line-ups in consultation with the Team Coach(es).
Licences
Players are responsible for purchasing their own licences as required in order to compete in the official tournaments of the Finnish Hockey Association.
Insurance
Players are advised, but not required, to purchase their own personal sports insurance. Players take part in club activities at their own risk.
Equipment
Players are responsible for purchasing their own equipment. In order to compete in official matches players must also purchase their own uniform which the Club orders at-cost. Equipment and playing shirts may be available for temporary loan from the Club but this is not guaranteed.
Players must take care of any and all loan equipment provided to them. Loan equipment must be returned by the agreed due date, upon request, at the end of the season, or if the player quits the team.
Travel
Players are responsible for their own transportation to/from all activities/meetings. We encourage the use of public transportation and carpooling where possible. Drivers are permitted to request an appropriate sum from passengers to cover fuel expenses.
Consents
- Players consent to team staff signing them up to match-day events in Suomisport.
- Players consent to team staff using their declared medical information as necessary to effect first aid or other urgent care.
Conduct
- Players must comply with directions from team leadership (managers, coaches, captains).
- Players must comply with all club policies. This includes, but is not limited to, the harassment policy and the health and safety policy.
- Players must pay all appropriate fees in a timely manner. Failure to pay may result in exclusion from activities, the requirement of upfront payment in future seasons, and/or other sanctions.
Amendments
The Club may update these terms and conditions as needed. If this happens mid-season you will receive written notice through the Suomisport platform informing you of the changes.
