U-12 Finnish Indoor Hockey Champions
The U-12 Helsinki Warriors Indoor Hockey team brought home the gold in a closely contested match against a tough Vantaa Hockey club at the Jokula Sports Hall in Hämeenlinna today after holding 2nd position in the league this indoor season.
The team managed to secure a third consecutive win by beating their opponents by 2 goals to 1. The match was a closely contested affair and even though the team is rather diminutive in size they showed the Vantaa team exactly what they were made of. The team manages to hold top honors for yet another year and can only progress from here onwards.
Warriors today captained by Arjunjit Singh, scored the first goal in the 13th minute courtesy of Jarkko Hakala, assisted by Aadit Phull. Vantaa replied by tieing in the 24th minute with Elmeri Rihitala taking credit. Warriors hammered the final nail in Vantaa’s coffin when Gurdit Gill scored the deciding goal during the 28th minute. Gurdit Gill pictured below claimed top honor as Man of the match.
