The under 13 players excelled at today’s tournament and showed the rest of the teams what to look forward to for the remainder of the season. A new under 11 player, Maxim Aerts joined the team for his first under 13 tournament and showed his steel by playing a brilliant game. The rest of the team members played their usual constructive game and seemed more goal hungry than ever before and this showed in the final score lines of their matches.
During their first match against Urjala Megasticks, the Warriors reigned victorious by beating their opponents by 3 goals to 1. The newcomer Maxim Aerts scored 2 goals and the captain Gurdit Gill scored 1 goal. From here the team just got better and started playing like a unit with quick passes catching the opponents off guard and great defending that minimized the opposition’s scoring opportunities.
The second match against HUVE greatly contrasted the first as the Warriors dominated by maximizing on possession as well as converting scoring opportunities into goals. The final score was 9-2. Arjunit Singh and Satvik Velpula each scored 1 goal, Maxim Aerts and Aadit Phull each scored 2 goals and Manraj Singh scored 3 goals. Maxim Aerts aided in several of the goals in the form of 3 valuable assists. If the team continues playing this way, they will be unstoppable.
