Under 16 Team Edging Their Way To The Finals

The under 16 team filled with numerous young, talented and upcoming players are keeping the rest of the competition on its toes by playing inspired hockey at times. If a few mistakes can be fixed and if more scoring opportunities can be created and converted, the team can easily reach the finals and emerge as victors.

The season has been a great one thus far with 39 goals for and only 9 against, compared to the top team’s 24 goals for and 10 against. This proves that the team can score goals, but they need to do so when it matters most. Keeping composure, accuracy, attacking quickly when needed and greater detail to passing as well as running into space will create more scoring opportunities and a better conversion rate. If the team uses the rules of the game to their advantage greater success could be facilitated. That being said, the team has played exceptional hockey at times and are definitely a team to be reckoned with.

In their matches on the 5th of January 2020, the team had great success and beat their opponents convincingly by 8-0 (HuVeHockey) and 10-0 (Kilppari HC). Today (11 January 2020), the team faced Seinäjoki United and HuVeHockey in their respective encounters. Both these teams are developing fast and this showed in the way they played on the day. The Warriors unfortunately lost to Seinäjoki for the first time in three years with a score of 1-2. The match against HuVe was more successful, but the team missed several scoring opportunities. The final score in this encounter was 5-2.
