What a spectacular day for the Warriors under-13 team! They did it again by emerging as winners of  the under-13 outdoor league for a 4th consecutive year.  Even though the match resulted in a draw (0-0) the team remained at the top of the league by narrowly ousting Vantaa HC to snatch the top spot.

The boys played an exceptionally composed and well-structured game and maintained possession and control for majority of the match.  Vantaa launched several counter attacks and Santeri, Massimo, Lauri  and Elmeri played an exceptional match for Vantaa HC.  The Warriors were presented with several scoring opportunities but were unfortunately unable to convert the opportunities into goals, which would have been the cherry on top.  Vantaa HC played a valiant game but were kept at bay by solid defense and accurate passing by the Warriors.

The season for the juniors end on a high note with many at the top of the goal scoring sheet as can be seen from the accompanying  pictures.

The match had a couple of tense moments as tempers and emotions flared but ultimately ended on a happy note with the Warriors being awarded the gold medals for the season.

A special congratulations to Manraj Singh who topped the goal scoring board with an impressive 24 goals and 15 assists leaving him with 39 points.  The youngest player in the under-13 team, 9 year old Arjunit Singh ended in 4th position with an impressive 15 goals and 7 assists resulting in his 22 points for the season.  The future of the Warriors hockey looks bright especially considering the immensely talented and skillful players making their way up the ranks.

We look forward to building and developing the team for the upcoming outdoor season so that they are able to move from strength to strength  and attempt to dominate the next outdoor season.

Well played boys, the win was definitely well-deserved.  Follow the link below for some footage of the final match.
